What is the difference between belt drive and direct drive?

Normally, belt drives are suitable for use when the speed ratio needs to be adjusted or there is a certain distance between the drive shafts, while direct drives connect the drive shaft directly to the driven shaft without additional gearing. Let's analyze the difference between these two transmission modes. First, belt driven screw blower Belt driven screw blower is a common blower transmission mode, through the belt drive shaft and the driven shaft are connected together to transfer power and speed. Belt driven screw blowers are usually composed of the following components: Drive shaft: Usually driven by a motor, powered by rotation. Belt: The belt is a transmission element that connects the drive shaft and the driven shaft, with one end fixed on the drive shaft and the other end fixed on the driven shaft.
